Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Born
to Be Wild” and Telepictures Productions’ “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” were honored for raising public awareness of animal issues. Last weekend, the Humane Society of the United States presented its 26th Annual Genesis Awards to active members in the animal rights community. Also at the awards ceremony, Ian Somerhalder, star of Warner Bros. Television’s “The Vampire Diaries,” was presented with The Wyler Award for spreading the word about critical animal issues via both traditional and social media platforms.
